Icelandic technology in byproduct utilisation was introduced at the Polar 2012 convention in Greenland October 9. Páll Gíslason who heads a new project at the Iceland Ocean Cluster (IOC), named Ocean Excellence, introduced Icelandic firms within the IOC which all are specialised in byproduct technology.
As more and more Governments are requiring fisheries to use more of the fish, the Icelandic firms, which have serviced the global fish byproduct for many years, are in a key position to assist the fishing industry to use more of the fish.
