Recently, Judith Schuijs and Clara Jégousse from the IOC team presented the 100% Fish programme at two international events.

Several Dutch seafood companies attended the meeting, that shared the first outcomes of a monitoring pilot. This pilot was created for collecting data and monitoring food waste in the Dutch seafood sector.

She introduced the Iceland Ocean Cluster, our 100% Fish program, as well as our ongoing projects, and our network of sister ocean clusters. The presentation aimed to provide inspiration by showing how circular innovation in the seafood sector can help reduce waste and create new value from marine resources.

And this week Clara Jégousse, senior research analyst, participated in the Economic Meeting of the fishery sector (“Rendez-vous économique du secteur des pêches”), hosted by the MRC de La Côte-de-Gaspé in partnership with Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions and the Department of Economic Development, Innovation, and Energy.

The event aimed to showcase diverse and innovative project around economic diversification, future project, and circular economy. She presented the “100% Fish programme of the Iceland Ocean Cluster at the beginning of the event to introduce the programme supports fuller utilisation of marine resources and encourages new value chains.
