The founder and chairman of the Iceland Ocean Cluster, Thor Sigfusson has recieved the Knights Cross of the Order of the Falcon for pioneering work and innovation in the field of fisheries.
The order of the Falcon is the highest civilian award in Iceland and is awarded twice a year by the Icelandic president.
Founded in 2011, the Iceland Ocean Cluster has been instrumental in supporting companies within the blue economy by fostering connections, making investments, and conducting research. Today, the cluster comprises over 70 companies at the cluster house. As we move in to the future with our 100% Fish program, pioneered by the Iceland Ocean Cluster is now making waves both at home and around the globe.
