Robert C. Barber, the newly appointed US Ambassador to Iceland, visited the Ocean Cluster House in Reykjavík on Tuesday. Thor Sigfusson, the CEO of the Iceland Ocean Cluster, navigated Barber and his staff as they met the companies and entrepreneurs of the Ocean Cluster House. Barber was also introduced to the fisheries sector in Iceland, the mission of the Iceland Ocean Cluster and our network and prospective projects in New England.
Barber is from New England, specifically Cambridge, Massachusetts where he came to study in both Boston University and Harvard University. Throughout his career, Barber has worked as a lawyer, helping entrepreneurs and startups to achieve their business goals.
Barber was appointed Ambassador to Iceland earlier this month. Tomorrow he will meet the President of Iceland and hand in his diplomatic credentials.
