We want to welcome this years summer employees, Heiðdís Skarphéðinsdóttir, Milja Korpela, Svanlaug Ingólfsdóttir and Sveinn B. Magnússon. This is Sveinn’s second summer and Heiðdís’s third summer at the Iceland Ocean Cluster, Sveinn is studying Industrial Engineering at the Chalmers University and Heiðdís is studying fisheries science at the University of Akureyri. However, this is the first summer for Milja, who is a designer from Lahti Institute of Design and Svana, who is studying Human Computer Interaction and Design at KTH Royal Institute of Technology.
The group will be working on various projects such as developing a educational app about fisheries, packaging design for seafood and business plans for new ideas. The photo below shows the group along with economists Bjarki Vigfússon and Haukur Gestsson and Eva Run Michelsen, CEO of the Ocean Cluster House.
