The Iceland Ocean Cluster welcomes Jason Latina, who will be joining us for a three-month internship. Jason is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with concentrations in Finance and Marketing at the University of Richmond. With a strong interest in innovation and sustainable business practices, Jason brings a fresh perspective to the intersection of finance, marketing, and the blue economy.
Previously, Jason interned with Henrico County’s finance department, where he contributed to various financial analysis projects. This experience strengthened his analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly in evaluating public sector financial data and developing insights for decision-making.
Jason pursued this internship with the Iceland Ocean Cluster to gain hands-on experience in an international setting focused on sustainable ocean innovation. He is excited to contribute to projects that promote the full utilization of marine resources and support the development of blue circular economies.
He looks forward to deepening his understanding of sustainable business models within the marine sector and learning from the Iceland Ocean Cluster’s collaborative approach to innovation.
