The Iceland Ocean Cluster participated in Career Day yesterday which was held in The University of Reykjavik. This is an annual event, now held for the 20th time, by AIESEC in Iceland for students and companies to meet. About 60 Icelandic companies participated in the day and introduced their operation and work in hope of finding good summer- and future staff. Marel, Nyherji, Advania, Iceland Group, CCP were among the companies. A diverse program was offered to students as well, musical entertainment and various company events.
The Iceland Ocean Cluster was there to introduce Verkefnamidlun, www.verkefnamidlun.is, which aims to strengthen the ties between students and companies. The students were very happy with the site and agreed it will create better access to companies and increase opportunities that would otherwise be difficult to find.
