The Iceland Ocean Cluster will be presented this Wednesday, January 29 at the Innovation Summit in Juneau, Alaska – a meeting of the minds on economic development in Juneau and Southeast Alaska. Thor Sigfusson, the founder of the Iceland Ocean Cluster is one of the summits main speakers where he will give his perspective on developing a strong and lasting, yet innovative, seafood industry through cluster development.
„We sense a vastly growing interest for increased utilization in the fisheries industry and the success Iceland has had in that area” says Thor. “We also see interest in establishing a similar cluster as we have in many of the countries in the North”.
The Iceland Ocean Cluster will be presented in many different countries throughout the year, such as Portugal, Norway and Alaska, USA.
