The Icelandic Fisheries Conference 2013 will be held at Grand Hotel Reykjavik on November 21 and 22. This is the fourth consecutive Fisheries Conference. This time people from various fields within the Icelandic fisheries sectors will get a chance to view 47 presentations in 11 workshops.
Thor Sigfusson, managing director of the Iceland Ocean Cluster will present strategic planning in the fisheries sector and new opportunities that are not subject to natural restrictions and quotas. Thor will describe how a future strategy will have to focus on several factors that the Icelandic ocean cluster relies on such as R&D, a sound currency, business cooperation, environmental issues, innovators and venture capital.
