We are delighted to welcome our new intern, Razvan Tugulea, currently a Master’s student in Data Management at Reykjavik University. With a strong background in business and hospitality, he previously earned a Master’s degree in Management from Spain and a Bachelor’s in International Hotel and Event Management from Switzerland. His career has taken him across five countries, giving him a global perspective on operations, efficiency, and sustainability.

Razvan joined the Iceland Ocean Cluster because its mission deeply resonates with him. Throughout his experience in various industries, he has observed that waste is often seen as an unavoidable by-product, with virtually few businesses truly optimizing their resources or finding value in what is discarded. His passion lies in transforming inefficiencies into opportunities, leveraging data, business strategy, and innovation to minimize waste and increase value.

Originally from Romania, Razvan enjoys working on projects that bring ideas to life, create meaningful impact, and connect people. Through this internship, he aims to explore new ways data can support the circular economy, uncover hidden potential in underutilized resources, and contribute to a more sustainable future.
