We received a lovely visit today from Ms. Montserrat Riba from the Catalan Government to the Iceland Ocean Cluster. It was a great opportunity to explore potential avenues for co-operation between Iceland and Catalonia for blue and circular economic growth.
Dr. Alexandra Leeper, our managing director of international affairs greeted her and introduced her to the cluster’s work and projects. In particular the 100% fish project and the fishing ship of tomorrow was discussed as well as the new exciting work happening as part of the Iceland Eco Business Park.
They talked about the companies and startups currently in the cluster. Her visit included a short tour of our facilities as well and a wider introduction to blue economy in Iceland, and our collaborations with our international partners.
