The Iceland Ocean Cluster awarded Commander Blake McBride at the Office of US Naval Research for enhancing a collaboration between Iceland and the United States in marine related research. The Office of US Naval Research has collaborated with the Icelandic marine biotech firm Kerecis in developing Omega-3 fish-skin-based treatment which can help to heal chronic and hard-to-heal wounds.
