What is your name and background? How did you hear about the Iceland Ocean Cluster?
“My name is Louann Gréaud, I have a bachelor’s degree in international business in English and Spanish from Nantes Université, in France. I’m currently doing a master’s degree in the same field.”
“I heard about the company through one student from my program, Eloïse Tomei, who did an internship here two years ago. Then I looked into it and thought that their work and projects were super interesting and I wanted to experience it for myself.”
Why did you want to join the Iceland Ocean Cluster?
“My goal for this internship was to discover the business world and to understand what I would like to do in my future job. I have always been interested in the ocean, so it was interesting to learn more about the blue economy. They do so many different projects and have such diversity in their activities, I thought it was the perfect internship to learn the most.”
How did your time interning at the Iceland Ocean Cluster help you?
“I learned and grew so much professionally and personally. It made me discover the corporate world, and gave me a better idea of what I want to do later. Also, the fact that it is a small team allowed me to try a bit of everything. The independent work that the team gives you and their trust in their interns and team members is incredible and helps you thrive and do your best. I also discovered a lot about the blue economy and Iceland.”

Since her internship, Louann has gotten a permanent position within the Iceland Ocean Cluster team while continuing her studies back in France.
