On Thursday last week, as part of Iceland Innovation Week, the Iceland Ocean Cluster hosted The Blue Table, an intimate ocean-themed lunch at one of our events spaces. Bringing together innovators, investors, thought leaders and industry around a shared table and a shared conviction: that the blue economy holds immense potential, and that unlocking it requires breaking down silos.
The conversation was exactly what this kind of setting is designed for. Across the table, people who do not always find themselves in the same room were talking, listening and connecting. Investment in the blue economy came up as both an opportunity and a necessity, and the energy in the room reflected that sense of urgency and possibility.
